Sherry Kever Howell

Sherry was born on March 12, 1937, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Tom and Jewel Smedley. She had one brother, Melvyn Copeland. In 1954, on August 31, she married Jesse Colin Kever, with whom she had 2 daughters and 1 son. They traveled the U.S. as Jesse worked on the pipeline, finally settling in Niagara Falls, NY in 1955. Then in 1969, after the death of their teenage son, Rod, they moved to Arlington, TX.

After the death of her first husband in 1997 she married Ron Howell in February 2000. Sherry and Ron traveled the world, enjoyed concerts, and had regular lunches with special friends known as “The Lunch Bunch.”

Sherry accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl, riding a bus to get to church. Her faith was the center of her life, finding a church wherever they lived. Upon moving to Arlington, TX in 1969, she and Jesse joined Fielder Road Baptist Church and served in the music ministry as well as the children’s ministry. She formed lifelong friendships wherever she lived.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her son, Rodney.

Survivors: Daughters, Marsha Wolfe and husband, Paul, Lisa Harry and husband, David, Brother, Melvyn Copeland, 6 Grandchildren; 11 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Sherry will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N Davis Dr Arlington, Tx 76012; with visitation from 11:30am to 12:00pm; Funeral Service will immediately follow with internment at Moore Memorial Gardens
