She was born May 21, 1932, in Long Beach, California, a daughter of Lonnie and Dorothy James. Shirley loved beauty in God's creation. She was an artist and poet. Truly gifted, her paintings were deep and powerful. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with intensity and passion. She left behind her mortal body to dwell eternally with her Father and Savior.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Doug and Gary Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Valli and Brian Abel; and nine granchildren, which were blessed to have had the privilege of knowing her. We are greatful to Texas Hospice and especially Nurse Misty, who took such special care going above and beyond in many circumstances. Thank you also, to Raynell and Joe, who helped to care and support us all as well.
