Van Roberson, 91, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. Services: 10 am, Friday, February 17 Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 – 8 pm Thursday, February 16 at the funeral home.
Van was born in Fort Worth on April 22, 1925. He graduated from Polytechnic High School. At the age of 16 he started his career in banking with the Continental Bank. The majority of his time was spent with Farm &Home Savings. On March 1, 1945 he married Doris Blair. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2013 after 68 years of marriage. During their time together their passion was building a vacation home in the mountains near Durango, CO. Both were charter members of the Brentwood Church of Christ.
Survivors: son, Berry Roberson and wife Carla, daughter, Cindy Durham and husband Bobby, grandchildren: Derek Roberson, Brett Roberson, Lindsey Gibson, Will Fifer, Ashley Gaither, Jeremy Baker, great-grandchildren: Savannah Baker, Austin Baker, Garrett Gaither, Lola Roberson.
