

Virginia, known to her loved-ones as Dennie, was raised in the Dallas neighborhood of Oak Cliff. She graduated from Adamson High School and completed her education at East Texas State College with a Master's degree in Education.
She was an elementary school teacher for the Dallas Independent School District, where she served for more than 32 years with distinction.
She will always be remembered as a caring and generous woman who loved her family and especially cherished the children in her life. She had a lifelong love of animals with a special affinity for chihuahuas. Pinta was her constant companion and protector.
In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to destinations throughout the world. Her beloved nieces and nephews all recount many stories of good times touring the United States with Dennie in her RV. She had a particular fondness for Europe and especially loved visiting ancient castles and learning their histories.
She was an avid fan of Harry Potter and Pirates of the Carribean. She found joy in photography and captured 1000s of photos while traveling the world.
She expressed her artistic nature in painting and creating stained glass art. She took great pride in her home and considered herself the keeper of the family’s history.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Raymond Brooks, her Mother, Pansy Holland Brooks, and her brother Gerald Brooks.
She will forever be missed by her loving sister Norma Menton and extended family.
