Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington.
William was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Welch, McDowell County, W.Va. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Brag in North Carolina. He worked at General Motors and retired after 23 1/2 years.
Survivors: Sons, William S. Green Jr. and Danny Lee Green; daughters, Patricia Ann Reed and Mary Frances Green Tinney; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
