Arthur J. Caron

AUBURN: Arthur J. Caron, 85, of Auburn passed away peacefully on Friday August 22 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn. He was born on December 30, 1928 in Auburn a son of the late Peter and Angelina (Bosse) Caron. He grew up in the area and attended local schools there. He then moved to Connecticut where he lived for many years before eventually moving back to Maine. He worked at installing doors and windows as a subcontractor for several years. He married Patricia Winslow in New Britain, CT in 1966. Art is survived by his loving wife Patricia of Auburn, his children; Peter and Roger Caron, both of Bristol, CT., David Lore and his wife Carol of New Britain, CT., a step-daughter Debra Nelson, four grandchildren; Jason and Peter Caron and Justine and Michelle Lore. He also leaves behind his sisters; Theresa Caron of Auburn, Eva Lebel of Auburn, Angelina Gauthier of Poland, and Lillianne Latouche of New Brunswick as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers; Gerard, Emile and Louis as well as two sisters; Cecile Bishop and Blanche Morin. Visitation will be held at Fortin\Auburn on Wednesday August 27 from 2-4pm with a prayer service at 3pm. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
