Bruce Leroy Bartlett

He was born in Lewiston, Maine on February 17, 1941 the son of the late Kenneth and Iva (Stevens) Bartlett and had been a resident of this community all of his adult life.

He attended Lewiston and Auburn schools and graduated from Deering High School in Portland. He then attended University of Maine in Augusta receiving his Associate Degree in Criminal Investigation.

He married the former Nancy Duncanson on June 30, 1958 in Portland. Bruce and Nancy wintered in Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for many years. Bruce was a retired Detective for the Auburn Police Department.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Bartlett of Auburn; three sons Steve Bartlett and his wife Nina of Auburn, Doug Bartlett and his wife Nancy of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and Brian Bartlett and his wife Susan of New Gloucester; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by three sisters Phyllis Wheeler, Jacqueline Dunlea and Vivian Fortin; a brother Richard Bartlett; and two grandsons Everett Rice and Lucas Bartlett.

A Memorial Service honoring Bruce’s life will be celebrated at a later date either in the Spring or the Summer at a time and date to be announced.
