Lewiston - Born on May 26, 1919, Clare lived most of her life in Auburn, Maine. She was the daughter of the late David and Blanche Bailey and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1937. She attended Bliss Business School, Lewiston, and was employed at B. Peck Company and Snow’s Tire and Appliance Company. She was married to the late O. David Haskell, Jr. and is survived by several nieces and nephews.Clare was a contributor to the Auburn Public Library, a member of the YWCA, a life member of the Eastern Star Pine Cone, Chapter #26, Honorary member of First Auburn Senior Citizens and attended United Methodist Church of Auburn. For the past several years Clare resided at Montello Heights and Manor, Lewiston. Her interests included travel, cooking, knitting, reading the daily newspaper, sports, and making people happy. She recently celebrated her 96th birthday.
