well josh FINALLY comes home in a few days. its been such as a LONG year. we are really starting to get into the wedding planning since it will be exactly a year away once he heads back over. I really wish you could have gotten to know him better. hes a great guy who treats me wonderful and i know you would have loved him. You were so much apart of my life growing up. You made it to all my big moments: graduation, birthdays, christmases. I really wish you could be at my wedding. I know u will be there in spirit but i would really love one last picture of us together, one last hug from you. This weekend is the balloon festival. remember how i would stop by after the balloons would go up and tell you about the ones i saw? its hard going near where you used to live by the river, i tend to avoid it at all costs. Merry Christmas Mom,  We sure did miss having you here with us today. David got me a beautiful Precious Moments Angel Tree topper and had it personalized with your name.  It sat on the top of my Tree and I felt you here with us.  I also got another PM Angel holding a (Birdie) also with your name on it. It was very lonely not having you here and it hurts knowing that you will never be here again to share Christmas with us.  I did sit in your chair and felt you helping me open my gifts. It is still so much fun watching the kids open their gifts and seeing them continue to set up Santa's runway.  Remember how late we'd always stay up getting ready for morning? Well last night was no exception.  I got to speak with Jesse tonight  I think he would cherish a visit from you.  I imagine he is lonely and knowing it was Christmas sure didn't help.  I hope I get to see you tonight, I would like to speak with you and share so much with you.  I want to see your smiling face and give you a hug and wish you a Merry Christmas. Its so good to have Melissa home now Mom and today Timmy is on his way.  We are doing our family pictures this afternoon.  It going to seem strange not picking one out for you. Mom,  did you like the service?  It was beautiful.  I am really got I went and that David came with me.  It did seem  to fill me with peace a peace that I hope will help me through this. I miss calling you every evening and you telling me everything will be o.k. you were always positive. You did a great job in raising us 6 kids all by yourself I wish I would of told you more how wonderful you are and how beautiful you are. We all grew up strong with great family values. They are having a boy his name will be Michael Jeffrey. The baby is due Feb 14. They named the baby after Mike. Natalee played flag football this fall. She was the only girl on the team. She was really good. At the end of the season she received a certificate for Most Valuable Player. Brianna is in karate she is now in yellow belt. The kids are doing really well in school. One year already, it feels like yesterday the nightmare began.  Are you happy Mom?  Are you painfree?  I have to believe both of these are true or I don't think I could bare it.  Last night I slept with the shawl that gave me comfort that last night.  I slept holding your hand knowing how hard it is for me to let you go. Sometimes I do not think I can.  Today was the worst day, it was shopping day, go figure.  It was the hardest time knowing that was our special time.  Did you hear me talking to you?  David got me some beautiful flowers and Melissa sent me a plant in your memory both to let me know that I am not alone.  She is hurting so much, knowing that she could not be here last year but she will be home next week, then Timmy comes home.  The only one missing Christmas will be you.  My heart hurts Mom and I do not know to make it stop.  Everything reminds me of you and the things we did.  I am so lonely for your company.  They say the first year is the hardest and that it gets easier after that.  I hope that is true.  I know you would want me to remember you with a smile on my face and in my heart. I am trying.  We are putting up the tree, I envision the Angel on top is you and you will be here to help us all get this this tough time.  Sunday I will be going to a Servicee of Remembrance to celebrate your life.  An outside tree will be lighted in memory of you and other loved ones. Hi Mom, today is my Birthday.  Everyone called to wish me a happy birthday but you.  I so missed that.  Even last year when you were so sick, you remembered my birthday.  I had lobster last night, it hurt knowing how much you would have enjoyed sharing it with me.  Somehow my birthday feels incomplete without your wish. Well Mom,  Thanksgiving is just about over.  It was so lonely not having you keep me company.  I had to peel your potatoes, and I certainly had alot of stuffing left over.  Melissa was on the computer so she was able to be with us while we ate.  Unfortunately she didn't get to have anything good to eat.  I could tell Timmy had a hard time eating the cranberry sauce as that was  a favorite for you both.  I missed my company when cleaning up and had an extra leg and neck left just for you.  I am told Mom that this will get easier, thats hard to believe right now.  When I close my eyes, I see your smiling face and know you are happy now.  That is my thanks for this day.  I love you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING MOM! I miss you so much. On this day we give thanks, I want to say Thank-you for everything you did for all of us. You are the greatest! I have an appointment in Lewiston on Monday. I'm having a hard time knowing I can't go to see you and give you a big hug. But we are planning on having lunch with Gail. Happy Thanksgiving Mom.  This is so hard, knowing you will not be here to keep me company while I cook.  And don't forget you always peeled the potatoes. We got our first snow fall last night Mom.  About 6 inches.   I can just hear you now worrying about your car and getting it stored for the winter.  I know how much you hated winter.  The holidays are coming so fast Mom, and it is going to be so differant and lonely without you here.  You called me last night and it broke my heart to hear you.  You sounded so sad. today i got a wonderful package in the mail... mom and dad sent me the 3rd harry potter book and a bunch of all my favorite halloween candy. It was so sweet and made me miss everyone so much. Christmas vacation cant come quick enough. I wish you were going to be there when i get back. i have so many stories to tell you. Were you with me today Mom?  It was shopping day and you do not understand how very lonely it is now.  I still talk to you like you are there.  People probably think I am crazy talking to myself.  I don't eat out anymore-its not the same when you are alone.  Please go with Melissa tomorrow Mom.  She is going by herself for her fitting on her wedding dress.  I worry her going alone. Hi Mom, I may not write much, but as you know we talk all the time. I want you to know how beautiful you was in that dress you was so happy and laughing we had so much fun. I love when you come to visit me. The feeling is unbelieveable. Heidi and Chad just bought a new home in Calis.It is really nice and with their special touches it will look so homey. Toni is in her second year of nursing she got a 96 in her test, highest in her class. We are so proud of both of them. You always told me how proud you was of them. Well Mom we made it back home.  It was definately an adventure being in London.  The only downfall was leaving Melissa there.  Please be with her and look after her while she is there.  I worry so with her there all alone and no easy way to contact anyone.  She did prove she could get around so that helps.  You must have cracked up watching her adventure getting to the hotel from her school.  She certainly takes after you with her sense of direction.  Did you hear our pray for you when we were at St Paul's Cathedrial and we lit a candle in your honor?  Its going to be along year.  Did you see Melissa in her Wedding Dress?  Wasn't she beautiful? Mom can you believe it, We are in London!!!  It really is amazing,  We have seen Big Ben, London Bridge, Buckingham Palace and so much more!! Hi Mom,  Another shopping day.  I can't believe it has been over 9 months since you have been gone.  The pain of missing you is still so bad.  And days like today (shopping day) it so is much worse.  I'm scared Mom, time seems to be going so fast for Melissa to leave.  And I know while she is gone, it will go so slow.  I know you can see how excited she is in making her wedding plans and I feel so honored that she is including me in on the plans.  What am I going to do when she is gone?  I won't have anyone to talk to.  I so want you here, I want to talk to you and not feel like I am alone.

Are you there Mom?  I miss you.  We brought Timmy back to school last weekend.  It will be very lonely without him home.  Its hard to believe he will be graduating in the spring.  Watch over him while he is away.  I have been talking to Melissa alot lately,  she is so excited making plans for her wedding.  I am so glad that she is including me in these plans. Hi Mom, I wanted to let you know that Sally is in the hospital. It's the same thing she told you about. She will be having an operation on Fri. so I know you will be there with her like you always were. Wrap your wings  around her.  We will always need our mother.We love and miss you very much. Well Mom, I bet you had a laugh today.  We put all the animals outside including the ferrets, cats & Peanut (in a cage), the dogs, and yes your birdie.  We left for 2 hours so we could bomb the house and enjoyed a nice game of mini golf. We were only gone 2 hours and we ended up having a huge rain storm while we were gone.  The cages we full of water and poor peanut was lying in 3 inches of rain soaked.  And your birdie got his bath!  I know you are always watching and know that would have made you smile. Hi Mom,  last week I felt so terrible and could't help thinking back to when you were sick.  I remember telling you to go to the hospital and you kept saying you did not want to because they would want to start an IV or take blood and you knew how hard it would be.  Well last week I was really sick and everyone kept saying I should go to the hospital and I started saying what you did.  I now know how you felt.  I wish I would have been a little more sympathic to you.  I am sorry Mom.  Please let me know there is no more pain for you.  I wish you were here with me, I sure miss you so much...

Thank you Mom for coming to see me last night.  It felt so good. We were shopping and you looked great, no oxygen or even your cane.  I thought you had cut yourself so I had you sit down.  I got to hug you and kiss you.  Just holding you...and being able to tell you how much I loved you.  You then told me not worry and that you had a lot of stamps since it had been awhile since you shopped, and you needed to get your ice pops!  Then you took off with cart with so much energy.  It was such a great feeling.  I felt like you came back so I could hug & kiss you and tell you one more time how much I love you.  Your smile was amazing!!  It seemed so long since I saw it.  You were so beautiful. I will hold on to that dream knowing it was your way to tell me you are finaly happy and that you will always be with me. My own special Angel. Mom, yesterday David and I celebrated our 25 wedding annivsary.  Its hard to believe how fast the time has flown.   And Mom to top that - our little girl got engaged Monday!  Remember how worried we were when she started dating him, that he would break her heart. We both soon changed our mind.  I know they will be so happy together. Hello Mom,  are you there?  I am so lonely without you to talk to.  Right now I need you to talk to, I can't talk to anyone else.  You were my best friend for so long that I never got close to anyone else.  I never thought the day would come when I would not be able to talk to you.   It has been so sunny out lately. Happy 4th of July Mom,   Did you get to see the fireworks?  I bet you had the most awesome view.  Remember the last time we went to see them by your place?  The lightning was competing with the fireworks.  We stayed just a bit too long and it started downpouring.  We had to run back to your place.  It was nice seeing your smile all weekend.  I've been going through my old pictures from when we lived on the Houlton Road.  You seemed so happy then.  The smile would light up your whole face.  I really do miss that. It's raining today Mom, I hope they are not your tears.  I dreampt last night that we were back in the trailer on the Houlton Road.  I remember when I told you I always seem to dream of there, you told me it was because that was the happiest place for me growing up.  It was just you and I.  You were my best friend.  You were so much fun! Remember the time you were on your hands and knees charging at me?  You sure could move fast.   You ended up hitting your head on the corner of your cedar chest and had to go to the hospital for stitches saying you needed your head examined.  Memories like that sure make me smile!!!  I have to remember to focus on memories like that when I am feeling down especially since I can't talk to you anymore.  I wish you were here Mom, I am just not ready to let you go - Sorry for being so selfish.  Maybe if you show me you met a man up there and was very happy, then it would be easier.  Come see me. Hi Mom,   I was walking the other day at lunch and just couldn't help remember when we lived in Washburn, how we would go for our walks on my days off.  We started out going just a short distance but I remember by the end of summer we were walking all the way around Washburn.  We never ran out of things to talk about.  Then all the trips we took to go get Melissa at UNH or just to the Portland Mall to get Japanesse food.  Melissa used to like to come just to hear us talking about all the drama going on.  I so miss our talks.  Its just not the same without you.  I so feel so alone.  It hits me everytime I pick up the phone to call you and remember you are not on the other end.  I still have your number in my phone.  I'm just not ready to let go.  I do think of you often Mom,  Good nite.

Again life is so cruel.  I saw you last night.  It was so real.  You were in the hospital and needed help getting around.  Then you just got worse and I did not want to accept it. You didn't smile nor did you complain, but the pain was in your eyes and I could see it now and it hurts so bad to know that I could not see it then.  And like reality, you just got worse and you were begging me to let you go. I did not want to, I wanted to hold on.  Why Mom am I only seeing you in pain.  I want so bad to know that your happy and smiling again.  I can't even remember the last time I saw your beautiful smile and knew it was because you were happy. I keep  seeing your smiling face.  I've started back scanning my pictures and there you are smiling back at me.  God how I miss your smile.  Looking back, I did not see much of it that past year.  I can see now how much I tried not to see.  I don't think I could accept it.  Every time I see you smile, I can't help but smile back. I think the worst is days like today.  Shopping day.  It is so lonely shopping alone.  I end up talking to myself as there is no one else there.  I still expect you to call or come round the corner to see where I am.  You don't know how often I wish you were there with your cane because it made it easier to get things off the top shelf.  You know we are so short!  I'm sorry Mom.  To push you to always come even when I knew you were so tired and had a hard time walking or didn't feel good.  I just couldn't face knowing it was getting harder and harder for you.  I just wanted you there with me and not have things change.  Please forgive me.

yesterday, just for a minute, i had forgotten you were gone. I was thinking how long its been since i heard your voice or visited you. i picked up my phone to call you... then i remembered that the number in my phone for you isnt you anymore. Hi Mom,  I am so lonely without you.  So many times I just want to pick up the phone and tell you things that happened at work or about the kids.  Then I remember - you aren't there.  We went to Presque Isle this weekend.  We went to the cemetary and planted flowers on gram & pepe's grave.  I know you are with them now and I hope that somehow you have found peace in your heart. I Still Miss Her

I sent a Mother’s Day card away.
I didn’t think it would be the last,

Hi Mom,  I am so upset.  I wrote to you after Mothers Day and it never got posted.  I wanted to tell you it was the loneliest Mother's Day.  I miss you so much.  I will always remember getting lobster and spending the afternoon with you eating and talking.  I will always cherish that.  Timmy did uphold the tradition.  He got me lobster and we ate it together while watching a movie.  Melissa got me a real nice gift and will be home this weekend.  It will feel good to have both kids home.  Melissa is now a college graduate and Timmy only has 1 yr left.  They've grown up so fast.  Thank you for all the help you gave me through the years.  I miss you so much...

 Mom; Happy Mother's Day. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you.  I miss you so very much.  I miss talking to you on the phone and hearing your laughter and talking about alot of things in general. We .all doing o.k. Mike took me to San Antonio to the River BoardWalk     went on the Riverboat ride which was fun. Saturday night we went to San Antonio Rose Country music.  They played music to the year 1950's to 1980'.  They played alot of the country  songs that you used to sing to us when we were little.  It brought back alot of good memories.  The kids and grandkids send their love oh yes Mike to. Here is a special saying I want to send to you.

 Happy Mothers Day Mom! Today is going to be a hard day for me. What am I going to do? I would always pick up lobster and spend the afternoon with you eating and talking. I will always miss that. We got back from our vacation today. We did have a good time, did you? Have you met Elvis yet? I hope I picked the perfect Island for you. It stays sunny & in the 80's all year round and that Kaui is the island all the stars would shoot their moves-Blue Hawaii, Fantasy Island, etc. Easter Sunday was the day Jesus was resurrected and it just seemed right. Don't stay in the sun too long - you do not want to burn like I did. Even though I know you will always be with me, I will miss you. Timmy is home now from school and Melissa is coming home next weekend for her birthday. It will be nice to have them around.

remember how I use to send you all those cards with those drawings and designs in them, well i think that's what I'd be doing to your easter card.  I miss you tons and I know eventually it will be okay but right now times are still hard trying to get through one day at a time without hearing your sweet little voice on the other end of the phone saying "i love you sweetheart"!  I have your picture hanging above my bed and every night before I go to bed knowing that i'll be alright in the morning because I have you as my angel!

Mom,  did you have a nice birthday?  It was lonely without you.  Thank you for bringing us all together.  I dreampt that night that me, Sally & Dolly were at the Hotel,  then Wayne was there.  We were all talking about how much we missed you when Carol walked it.  We were so excited!  We wanted to go and get a family picture taken but felt bad that Jesse was not there.  Suddenly he too walked through the door.  It was so nice to have us all together and I know that it was you who had done it.  You wanted us to know that even though we are not together in body but spiritually you have made sure that we are.  Even though you did not come to me in the dream, Mom, I know that it was you that got us all together and it felt like you were there with us.  I love you  Mom.
