

Irene was born on November 30th, 1928, in Lewiston, a daughter to Lucien and Albertine (Berthiaume) Beaudette.
She met the love of her life, Normand Lacroix, while roller skating in Auburn. The two were married on February 7th, 1953 and shared 61 wonderful years together until his passing in July of 2014.
Irene was a proud stay at home mom, or "Domestic Engineer" as she would call herself. Normand worked as a plumber and pipefitter as they raised their five children and built their life.
The first family home was in Auburn. While living there, Normand tore down a barn to build a camp on Thompson Lake from the ground up. After a few years, the family moved to a new home in Lewiston where they lived for a short while. While living in Lewiston, Normand built a new family home in West Poland on Thompson Lake.
Irene enjoyed her time spent on the water. She loved to fish, swim, water ski, ice skate, and even ice fish with her family. She was a big fan of the outdoors even enjoyed snow skiing, snowmobiling and many other activities with her husband and children, including a fair game of ping pong or pool!
Many years later, the family made their final move to one of many homes Normand built in the town of Greene.
Irene is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Normand, and her brother Reginald Beaudette.
She leaves behind her brother Lucien Beaudette Jr., her five children, Normand L. Lacroix Jr, Bruce P. Lacroix, Brian J. Lacroix, Gail S. Lacroix, and Gregory D. Lacroix. She also leaves behind her seven grandchildren, Desire Lacroix Sirois, Ryan Lacroix and wife Elizabeth, April Wilson and husband Tim, Aaron Lacroix and wife Nicole, Ashley Lacroix, Nathan Lacroix and Krista Proulx and husband William. Irene also leaves behind her ten great grandchildren, Cadence Lacroix, Lucas Lacroix, Madelyn Lacroix, Eric Wilson, Cory Wilson, Abbie Wilson, Harper Proulx, Hayden Proulx, Marissa Pushard, and Haley Pushard. She also leaves behind her three nephews David Beaudette, Roger Beaudette and Jerry Beaudette, as well her niece Dolly Needham.
A visitation at The Fortin Group in Auburn will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Liturgy of the Word will occur Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at The Fortin Group in Auburn, with Committal Prayers to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
