Jeanne Cloutier Gagne

Jeanne B. Cloutier Gagne, 97, formerly of Schooner Estates Retirement Community passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion. Born on December 18, 1914 in Lisbon, Maine, the daughter of Leo and Alice Plourde. She was a long time resident of Lewiston, Maine where she raised 8 children with her first husband (Roland Cloutier). She worked at the Bates Mill and later at St. Mary’s Hospital as a nurses’ aide for many years until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of SS Peter and Paul Church and a member of les Dames de Ste. Anne, the Lewiston Seniors and the Holy Cross Seniors. She enjoyed reading, music, musicals and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going on Senior trips. She is survived by two sons, Normand R. Cloutier of St. Petersburg, FL and Richard N. (Susan) Cloutier of Lewiston, ME and four daughters, Rolande Tessier Dalos of Sun City, AZ, Carmen (Raymond) Belleville of Bath, ME, Diane (John) Farrand of Lewiston, ME and Pauline (Ronald) Guimond of Turner, ME, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the proud grandmother of 18. She was predeceased by her husbands, Roland J. Cloutier and Adelard Gagne, two sons, Donald L. and Marcel E. Cloutier, a daughter in law Patricia Olivier Cloutier and three sons in law, Raymond Belleville, Jean Tessier and Marvin Dalos. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Schooner Retirement Community for the years of care and kindness she received as a resident and the staff on 4 East at St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion for their care and comfort.
