Julie was born in Biddeford, ME on June 13, 1971 to Ronald A. Coffin of Standish and Charlotte M. Collins of Dixfield. Julie’s young life began in Bar Mills, ME, with her older sister, Audrey. She later moved to Dixfield and attended Dixfield schools through graduation in 1989. Later she attended Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) and graduated as an X-ray Technician.
Over the years she was employed by St. Mary’s, Central Maine Medical Center and Maine Medical Center, where she worked in the heart unit. She was grateful for the many friends and staff in the hospitals where she worked. They were truly so nice to her and became more than friends.
Julie was married to John J. Coyne of Auburn for a few years and was blessed with her dear son, Jack J. Coyne, who grew up with his older sister Jasmine M. (Clarke) Marquis. Jazz was so very dear to her and gave many hours of looking after her and helping in so many ways. Julie and Russell White (of Rumford) were together for eight years and were happily married for three. Russ took exceptional care of her during the last few years of her life and truly loved her so much.
The outpouring of love from him and all her many, many friends has been a testament to who Julie was as a person; she was loved and admired by all. A fund-raiser that was held at Boondocks Farm Corn Hole Tournament in Canton by her good friend and classmate Scott Thompson raised enough to send her on her dream trip to Ireland. She had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the people, food, scenery, legends and especially her time “trying” falconry. It was made possible by her many, many friends. She was overwhelmed at times by their generosity and thoughtfulness.
Julie is survived by her dearest friend Sandra Dickie who was there through thick and thin, and was her partner in crime ever since they met. She is also survived by her Mother Charlotte M. Collins of Dixfield; her husband Russell T. White, daughter Jasmine M. Marquis and her new baby Bradley Scott Marquis (who Julie adored and knick-named "Nugget”) and husband Evan S. Marquis, son (who she was so proud of) Jack J. Coyne and companion Molly Christenson, her father Ronald A. Coffin and wife Jeanne, siblings Audrey Coffin, Kathryn Rodriguez, Kristina Mains, Nicholas Coffin. She is also survived by stepchildren Buddy Simmons, Cheyenne White and Jasmine White and many nephews and nieces that she adored and who loved her a lot.
A visitation is planned for Friday, November 15, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fortin Funeral Home, 217 Turner St., Auburn, ME 04210. A Celebration of Life is planned for a beautiful day in the coming springtime.
