

Lacie L. Goulet, 28, of Auburn, passed away on Thursday September 16, 2010 at Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 28, 1982 in Lewiston a daughter of the late David Goulet and Corinne (Russell) Vye. She attended local schools graduating from Franklin High School class of 2000. She had worked at Grid Iron as a waitress and was very excited about being hired by Support Solutions on the same day she learned of her illness. She was attending Andover College studying Criminal Justice at that time. She loved animals, especially horses and "her" dog Romey, who stood by her side during her entire illness. She truly enjoyed her cell phone, social networking on her computer, Dunkin Donut Runs and snowboarding. She had a very special place in her heart for her nephews, "her boys" Isaac and Gabe. Although she was stricken by cancer at a very young age, she never complained or cried as she showed tremendous courage and strength. She was extremely selfless and always very thoughtful and caring of others. Lacie is survived by her siblings: Alicia "Lisa" Escobar and her husband Dan of Lewiston, Katrina Daigneault of Auburn, Taylor Coutts of Auburn and Brandin Daigneault of Lewiston; her aunts: Gale Russell Hart and her fiancee Arnie Howe of Durham; Paulette Junge and her husband Michael of Virginia and Bonny Coutts, who was more like a mother to Lacie, and her husband John; her maternal grandparents: Robert and Gail Russell, and Dorene and Charlie Sargent: her very special cousins Chad and Eric Hart, and Tanya Hart-Newkirk, Ella and Eva Junge. She was also "Auntie" to: Kaylyn, Trevin, Gage, Alexis, Cael and Cooper who adored her. Lacie was also survived by her special Uncle/Cousin "ERB".Besides her parents she was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Cecile and Lionel Goulet. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Lacie's special friends who stood by her in this time of great need and also to the Nurses and Doctors at Maine Medical Center, who also referred to her as "Sleeping Beauty", especially Dr. Evans. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 20, 2010 at 1:00 PM at The Vineyard Christian Church in Lewiston. Committal services will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
