Linda Kay Jordan

She was born in Lewiston, ME on December 27, 1944, a daughter of the late Bernie H. & Phyllis M. (Goding) Stewart. She grew up in Auburn, ME attending local area schools and graduated from Edward Little High School. While in high school she played the flute and as part of the school band competed in the finals in Seattle, WA.

Linda worked for Bell Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator until she married Gary Jordan. After getting married she raised a family of five and then went back to work for Arby’s and retired as the manager of the Auburn location, after thirty-one years.

Linda loved baking sweet treats and family and friends enjoyed the fruits of her labor. She enjoyed reading and listening to music, especially Elvis. However, her greatest joy was simply spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by four children Tammy L. Schmidt and her husband Jamie of Fayette, ME, Barbara J. Tardif and her husband Duane of Greene, ME, Scott C. Jordan and his companion Leann Webber of Poland, ME and Shawn E. Jordan and his wife Cari of Greene and her nine grandchildren Nicole Jordan and her fiancé Katie Inge, Pamela Jordan-Hallowell, Caleb Jordan and his wife Jordan, John Zenik and his companion Kaitlyn Maray Moss, Deven Jordan, Evan Tardif and his fiancé Peyton Fuller, Alex Tardif, Felicity Tardif and Rannon Henry as well as two great grandsons Cole Jordan and Owyn Zenik. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Lisa Baril, who passed away on December 29, 2011, and she was the sister of the late Helen Millett, who passed away on May 17, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11 am at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner St Auburn, ME; followed by committal prayers at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn.
