

He was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 22, 1949 the son of the late Bernard and Florence (Ramsey) Boisvert and was a resident of this community all of his life.
He was educated in Lewiston schools and a graduate of Lewiston High Class of 1967.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served for six years in the National Guard as a Marksman.
He was employed at Bath Iron Works for over thirty years as a supervisor of ship fitters and grinders. He retired in February of 2009.
Marcel was a jack of all trades, master of none. He enjoyed spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and friends.
He is survived by his wife Joan Boisvert of Lewiston; five daughters Marsha Boisvert of Lewiston, Brenda Boisvert of Auburn, Nancy Tardiff and her husband Kris of Lewiston, Jessica Boisvert of Bath and Tina Boisvert of Lewiston; one son Jason Boisvert of Lewiston; one brother Richard Boisvert and his partner Mike Ayers of South Carolina; twenty grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Timothy Boisvert; and a brother Robert Ward.
Memorial Services honoring Marcel's life will be celebrated on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 12:00 PM. A Military Honors Service will then follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM till the time of the service at The Fortin & Pinette Group 217 Turner Street in Auburn, 783-8545.
