He was born in Lewiston, ME in October, a son of the late Henry H. & Velma L. (Baker) Fowles. He grew up in Auburn Maine, attending local area schools and graduated from Edward Little High School. After high school he went on to obtain his Master’s Degree in English from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Bob worked as a photographer and an editor for the Waterville Sentinel for 43 years before retiring in 2004.
He enjoyed his cup of coffee and frequented Denny’s in Auburn on a regular basis.
He is survived by his daughter Melinda Howe and her husband Jeffrey of Rumford. He also leaves his sister Barbara Allen Fowles and her husband Doug of Marcellus, NY.
Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn will be private.
