

Alice passed away in Los Angeles, CA due to complications from Multiple Myeloma. She was born and raised in Tehachapi, CA. She met the love of her life, Mike Gonzales at a dance in Bakersfield, in 1951.
Alice was a teacher's aide for BCSD for over 30 years. Alice was a medical interpreter after retirement. She loved cookbooks and would serve her family delicious dinners from all over the world. Any visitor to Alice's home would be treated to something home-cooked. She taught her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cook. These memories will last them a lifetime.
Alice loved to travel and was always ready for the next adventure. Her favorite destination was Lake Tahoe. Her greatest love was her family. She endured much to live and enjoy her family. Alice shared with her family her love of our Lord and Savior - she was an example of his love.
The family thanks, Dr. Robert Vescio at Cedar Sinai Cancer Center, nurses, Marcy, Rhona, Page, and infusion staff, who treated her with such care and kindness, giving her eight more years with the family. Also, the family is grateful to Val Taylor for the friendship and support through her journey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, of 50 years Mike, sister, Eva Troxel, and brother, Eusevio Acedo and grandson, Justin Johnson. She leaves behind her children, Suzanne Gonzales, Lorraine (Dennis) Grisham, Michael J Gonzales, Greg (Traci) Gonzales, Grandchildren, Destiny Travis, Tyler (Amber) Johnson, Ciara Gonzales, great-grandchildren, Brodie Travis, Kaileigh Johnson, Ellie Johnson, Bradley Johnson and Landon Johnson.
