Bennie James Brewster

Services will be at Hillcrest Chapel on Wednesday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m.

Bennie married Naomi Justus on June 17, 1948 in McAlester, Oklahoma. They were blessed with two daughters, Linda and Patsy.

He worked at Bakersfield City Schools for 45 years, retiring as head custodian at Compton Jr. High.

Bennie was active in his church. He liked being outside with his dog, Daisy, taking care of his lawn and garden. And he loved visiting with family.

Bennie is preceded in death by parents Pete and Erma Brewster. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Naomi; daughters Linda (Roger Guinn Sr. ) and Patsy (Lonnie Cross); grandchildren Trish Guinn, Kreg Cross (Nikki), Karen Fallgatter (Nathan) and Roger Guinn Jr. ; great- grandchildren Megan Guinn, Kayla and Kylee Cross, Andrew Guinn, Kaitlyn and Kent Fallgatter and Deakyn Guinn; and great-great-grandson Elijah Doughtery.

Bennie is survived by brothers Bill Brewster (Kelleen) of McAlester, OK; Jim Brewster (Nita) of Russellville, AR and sister Emmalene Farris (David) of McAlster, OK.
