

Bonnie was born on September 25, 1931 in Portland, Oregon to parents Clyde Bryan Dick and Ida Leona Allen Dick. Her family moved to California where she attended schools in the bay area and graduated from Balboa High School in San Francisco with the class of 1949.
Bonnie enjoyed her work in the insurance industry in San Francisco and later dedicated her life to being a homemaker. She married the love of her life, Norman Jack Eccles "Bob" on October 4, 1952 in Saratoga, California. They had been married for 57 years at the time of his passing in 2010. She had a great love for her family and was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as "Bonniema" to her grandchildren and others. She kept her home filled with love and was an amazing cook and pianist. She loved spending time with her family and many special friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She was an active member of the LDS church and enjoyed the many opportunities to provide service to others. She especially enjoyed playing the piano for the primary children for many years.
Bonnie was incredibly compassionate, thoughtful, kind, loving, loyal and fun to be around. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind a mighty legacy of love.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, sisters (Dorothy, Juanita and Leona) and grandson (Benjamin Lackey). She is survived by her daughters Allyson (Clifford) Nielsen and Jeanette (Daniel) Lackey; granddaughters, Jessica (Michael) Ebersohl and Christine (Joseph) Dilsaver; great grandchildren, Mia, Ryan, Adam and Brody Ebersohl and Noah, Heidi, Penelope and Peyton Dilsaver; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 316 A Street, Bakersfield, California 93304. Graveside service will follow at the Hill of Valor at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California 93306. There will be a viewing on Thursday, October 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary.
