Brent Eugene Hayslett

Brent Eugene Hayslett, 64 of Bakersfield passed away August 29th 2022. Born, May 29th 1958 in Bakersfield, CA to Albert Eugene Hayslett and Renee’ Carole (Boyer) Hayslett. Brother to Tom, Rex and Paul (deceased) Hayslett, Curtis and Chuck Fox.

Brent was preceded in death by his mother, father and grandparents, he was also raised by his mother’s second husband Bob Fox whom he referred to as Dad keeping a close relationship with even after his mother’s divorce from him including being very close with his new wife Rose (deceased).

Brent had close ties with extended family members living and deceased including Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and Nieces both close and afar some as far away as Germany. Brent grew up residing in California and Utah attending multiple schools in each state as he excelled in academics, he went on continuing his education as an adult by attending college graduating with a degree in business administration from Santa Barbara Business school in Bakersfield. Brent held many jobs over his life but most notably was being a baker of donuts and striving for perfection of every bake, he even went on to once co-own his own shop, later as he advanced his education, he began his work for the City of Bakersfield in the finance department where he was employed for over twenty years before taking his retirement at the end of the year 2021. Brent was a religious person and a believer in Jesus Christ enjoying bible studies and sharing in such attending church in both Utah and California. Brent enjoyed shopping both online as well as brick and mortar stores, he enjoyed the finer things in life for his home and his attire taking meticulous care of his belongings he worked so hard for, Brent had many friends, some developed from school, some from work and some within his neighborhood, a number of which he had strong bonds and dependability within some as close as family, he had a great way of leading by example, giving advice when needed and being available to lean on in times of need.
