He migrated to the United States over 42 years ago living in the Los Angeles area, Lamont, before settling roots here in Bakersfield. He was an avid soccer fan, nature/ animal lover, and loved music. His favorite genres were Classic rock, Latin rock and Soft rock but he enjoyed any type of music that had positive or romantic lyrics. He played for a few local soccer teams such as Los Tecos, La Piedad, Las Aguilas, and in Mexico. He played soccer for well over 25 years, starting back in his home country of Honduras. His team position was Goalie and was very well known for being the best to play that position during his time on the soccer field. That earned him numerous recognitions, medals and trophies. He even got to meet and play with Edson “Pele” Arantes do Nascimento, the famous soccer player.
He worked at Bolthouse Farms for over 30 years and was very proud of that. He held multiple positions in those years, with his most recent being a Machine Operator for the beverage line. His coworkers, throughout his time there, knew him to be a very hard worker and reliable. He enjoyed telling the latest joke. He was a very loyal friend who could always be counted on. Always with a smile on his face, showing his unique dimples. He enjoyed socializing, was very easy going, and meeting new people. He loved visiting and checking in on family on his day off. He was a great family man and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He took his role of being a father and grandfather very seriously and couldn't wait to see all his grandkids grow up and become some great people. Although he won't be with us physically, we know he is still around spiritually and would be very proud of everything we will accomplish and do in this life.
