

Carmelita Francis Reyes April 2, 1931 - August 18, 2011 Visitation for Carmelita Francis Reyes will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road on Tuesday August 23, 2011, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm., followed by a Rosary Reciting at 6:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 1515 Baker St. on Wednesday August 24, 2011 at 10:00 am. Carmen was born to Monico and Maria Andrada in Bakersfield, California. She is proceeded in death by her husband Julio whom she was married to for some 55 years, her Mom and Dad, Brothers Claude, Ernie, Lawrence, and Benny Andrada,and Sister Delphina Rodriguez. Carmen's love and concern for others are traits that all will remember. Mom stayed at home and raised all six of her children, and instilled in them qualities that they display to this day, and for that we are very appreciative. She then went to work for the Kern County High School District , where she retired after 25 years. Mom was a mother, confidant, and support to all of her six children, Rene, Carrie, Tony, Ernie, Pat, Mona, and her niece Nicki, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Carmen has 1 surviving brother Richard Andrada, 2 surviving sisters Cecelia Lopez and Carrie Zaragoza. Thanks to all the spouses and friends of the family, namely Karen, Cheryl, Irene, Janie, Arlou, Cindy, Jennie, and Maggie, Molly and Sal and numerous other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to many to mention. The family would like to thank you immensely. Also a very heartfelt thanks to our 2 sisters Carrie and Mona and their families who showed such self sacrificing love, and care for the last numerous years,(with Mom AND Dad), we appreciate it very much and you are sterling examples of how caregivers should be. You were Always there for them and for us. Thank You so much. Pallbearers will be Rene Reyes, Carrie Reyes, Ernie Reyes, Pat Reyes, Mona Reyes, and Michael Reyes Honorary Pallbearers will be the 17 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren We look forward to the time when: "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain anymore. The former things have passed away." Revelation 21:3,4.
