Charlene Lavone Rogers, born December 19, 1949, in Cottage Grove, Oregon, was the fourth-born child of Theodore and Martha Satterfield. She passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in Bakersfield, California. Growing up in Arvin, she was known for her athletic abilities at Arvin High School, excelling in sports and making her mark as a talented athlete.
Charlene dedicated many years of her life working in the medical field alongside her sister, Christine Scott, and sister-in-law, Marlene Satterfield, before retiring. Her love for softball was a significant part of her life, especially playing second base, where she displayed her passion and skill. She also had a deep passion for bass fishing and was an active member of the Taft Bass Club.
A beloved family figure, Charlene was affectionately called "everyone's Grandma Charlene." She was a passionate cheerleader for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at numerous sporting and school events, always cheering them on with love and enthusiasm.
She is preceded in death by her siblings in heaven: Harold Satterfield, Christine Scott, and Teddy Satterfield. Her brother Bill Satterfield remains alive and well.
Charlene leaves behind her three children: Angela Acunia, Michele Hernandez, and Jason Acunia. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Erica Stevens, Freddy Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez, Michael Acunia, Vincent Acunia, Brianna Acunia, and Sarah Acunia. Her great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, include Brody Keister, Ethan Lozano, Ryan Keister, Kameron Keister, Evangeline Acunia, Micheal Miera, Mason Miera, Christopher Acunia, and Isiah Acunia.
Charlene's life was a testament to her love for her family, her passions, and her community. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A Committal Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Charlene will be laid to rest in Whispering Pines Garden, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California 93306, US, on March 18, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm.
