

He was born in Bakersfield Ca, at Kern Medical Center in 1965 to David Reyes Pena Sr and Feliz Gomez.
David was preceded in death by his Younger Brother Felipe Reyes Sr, and is survived by his Mother Feliz Gomez and his Father David Reyes Sr., His Siblings Jesse Reyes and Francisca Roche, His Children Frank Rubio, Venessa Ceja and her Husband Ignacio Ceja, Savannah Aleman and her husband Juan Aleman Jr., David Reyes III, Jesus Reyes, and Sharon Feliz Reyes. His grandchildren Imani and Nayeli Rubio, Cassandra, Sofia, Natalia and Ignacio David Ceja, Johnny, Milah, Roman and Gracie Aleman, And Adonis Reyes. And his great grandchild, Jaliyah Rubio.
David attended Washington Jr high and East high school in Bakersfield and began working on cars when he was just 16 years old. Shortly after, he became a Body man and eventually a painter which he enjoyed doing until 2024 when he Retired. David Worked at several body shops around Bakersfield and made many friends.
David was not someone who was easily forgotten. He was straight to the point and spoke his mind, but you always knew you could call David for anything. He had a special kind of love that will never be replaced…
A memorial service will be held at Victory Outreach Bakersfield Bold, located at 220 Eureka St, Bakersfield, CA 93305, on February 4, 2026, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
A graveside service will follow at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, located at 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, on February 4, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm.
