David was born on a Tuesday morning at what was then the Cottage Hospital in Oildale.
He attended Harding Elementary, Compton Jr. High and East High. His two favorite hobbies were playing pool and watching car racing.
He is survived by his parents Larry and Sondra Thompson, sister Denise Myers, nephew Anthony Myers and niece Lynette Myers of Bakersfield.
Visitation is Sunday, February 25, 2018, 5 to 7 pm. Graveside service is Monday, February 26, 2018 at 2pm. Hillcrest Mortuary.
