November 7, 1919 - April 28, 2018
Fred was born and raised in Stockton, CA. Growing up, Fred excelled in numerous sports. He proudly served as a Marine in WWII in the Pacific. Fred was a successful contractor in Bakersfield for many years and was a great provider for his wife and children. Fred was an outstanding golfer and it was well known that he was the man to beat.
He was preceded in death by Barbara, his wife of 69 years and his son Fred Higgins Jr.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie Moffat and husband Doug, son Greg Higgins and wife Dawna, son Randy Higgins and wife Rebecca, also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held May 11, 2018, at 12:30 p.m at Hillcrest Mortuary.
