Hulen Lewis Jenkins born March 10, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to William (Edward) and Minnie Jenkins. He graduated from Carver High School in 1965. Shortly thereafter, the Jenkins family relocated to California. He married Joanne Gault and they had three children - Kim, Eugina, and Barbara. Hulen dedicated 30 years of his life to ARCO, serving as a Production Supervisor for 20 of those years.
Hulen’s interests extended beyond work. He had a passion for fast cars, fishing, playing cards, and dominoes. His favorite pastime involved watching The Lakers and Dallas Cowboys play while cooking and experimenting with new dishes.
In 1981 Hulen was baptized and married Ruby Holley. Together, they raised her five children—Jimmy, Cherri, Lucretia, Dawanna, and Johnny—as well as their son, Marc Anthony, and daughter, Gabriella. They also adopted four grandchildren: Shon, Tyrone, Taivon, and Uzuri.
Hulen was preceded in death by his parents, William (Edward) and Minnie Jenkins, his brothers, William and Leo; his sister, Margaret, his brother-in-law, Albert Hayes Jr., his daughters, Barbara and Cherri, his son-in-law, Dexter, his nieces, Lisa and Teresa, his nephews, Donnie and Larry, and his grandsons, Troy and Jonah.
Hulen is survived by his wife, Ruby, his brother, Marty (Cynthia), his sister, Barbara Hayes, his sons, Kim, Jimmy, Johnny, and Marc Anthony, his daughters, Eugina , Lucretia, DaWanna, and Gabriella, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
