Jack L. Nation Sr. August 2, 1923 - December 24, 2011 Jack Nation passed away after a brief illness on December 24, 2011. Jack was a simple, hard working man that loved his family. He loved barbecues, fishing and being outdoors. He loved to travel, especially to visit his home state of Oklahoma, but not without a stop in Hobbs, New Mexico to spend time with his sister Kitsie. Jack was a house painter for some 40 plus years in the Bakersfield area and made many friends during his career. He is survived by his sister Kitsie Hanks of Hobbs New Mexico and his four children: Jack Nation Jr., Sherry Mayfield and husband Sam, Ron Nation, and Teri Burgett and husband Terry, eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. May he rest in peace, in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jack will be laid to rest January 2, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 1:00 pm. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary
