John David Smith, age 80, of Bakersfield, California passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. John was born to Evelyn May Smith and Father Elwood K Smith. He joined his parents in heaven along with his two brother's Kenny Smith and Raymond Smith. He is survived by his younger brother James Smith and his little sister Doris Brown. John was a devoted Christian and was a very selfless, caring and kind person. He was devoted to his family and friends and would always put them first. John loved deeply and was deeply loved. John served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1982 and will be missed and NEVER FORGOTTEN.
A graveside service for John will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, CA 93203.
