Judith Lee Hoss passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024. Judith was born on June 6, 1939 in Pasadena, CA to Ernie and Blanche Hughes, and was one of 5 children (Larry, Gail, David, and Leon). She was raised and lived all of her life in Bakersfield, CA. Judith Hughes met her future husband Guy Hoss and was married November 1, 1958 in Las Vegas, NV, and never left each other's side until his passing. In 1965, they started the Apostolic Church in Bakersfield and she served as the First Lady for almost 48 years. During this time, she used her many talents to crochet, knit, paint, decorate and to love each member of her family.
Judith is survived by her 3 children, Phillip (Amelia) Hoss from Murrieta, CA; Ernest Hoss from Bakersfield, CA; & Debra (Cliff) Uptigrove from Bakersfield, CA; two daughter-in-laws Rose Hoss & Vickie Hoss; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Judith Hoss’ Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 10:00am at New Life Church, with a Reception to follow. Interment, at Bakersfield National Cemetery at 1:15pm.
