Kathryn Lucille Wright

Kathryn was born December 4, 1944 to Russell E. Olberg and Lucille N. (Miller) Olberg, of Harrison, Arkansas. They moved to Everett, Washington for 5 years and relocated to Bakersfield, California in 1951.

Kathryn passed due to ongoing health issues. She attended Standard Elementary School, and graduated from North High School in 1963. She went on to attend Bakersfield Community College and began working at Kern Credit Union. Where she met Ernest E. Wright (Ed) they married in 1965. Later, she went to work for the Kern High School District, Regional Occupational Center, as a school office secretary, and school office supervisor. After obtaining her vocational teaching credential, she taught business classes at North High School.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lucille Olberg, her in laws, Ernest Munro Wright and Ocie M. Wright, son, Phillip Ray Wright, and husband, Ed Wright.

Her hobbies included: crocheting, reading, LOVED movies, dancing, luncheons, and entertaining large groups of family and friends. They would gather for a meal followed by cribbage and pinochle. She was involved in two clubs: lunch bunch and genealogy.

She is survived by her loving dog Suzi, son, Mark E. Wright, sister and brother in law, Elaine C. and Bill Lowrance (Idaho/Arizona), and brother, Richard R. Olberg.

Mark and family would like to extend a special thanks to: Mary Keith Sullivan and late husband Henry, their children, Mike Sullivan, Brian and Rebecca Sullivan, Tina and Nate Larsen, Jo Cowen and late husband Don, Kay Keith and late husband Jon, and lifelong friends Robert and Angie Martin.
