Leonard "Wayne" Gann

Leonard "Wayne" Gann 1946 - 2011 Wayne was born October 6, 1946 in Tulsa, Ok to Elsie "June" Warren and Leonard Gann. Wayne then moved to Bakersfield in 1957 attended local high schools graduating from South High in 1965, he then married Virginia "Ginger" Ann Curtis on June 14, 1968. Wayne worked side by side with his father at A-1 Battery Co. until they sold in 1979, he then worked for 3 Way Chevrolet prior to buying and running Cal-Oak Towing for 15 years. Owner of A-Auto Salvage from 1994-1997 he then worked for Precision Collision Repair in Bakersfield and Brannon's Auto Parts in Lost Hills prior to retiring in 2009. Wayne had a passion for cars he was a the President of his car club, OFCC of Wasco, Member of the Car Club Counsel, Member of the local Moose Lodge, on the committee for Hwy 99 Cruise'N Show, The Moose Lodge's Car Show benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation, and National Street Rod Association. Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Ginger Gann; his parents, June and Leonard Gann. Wayne leaves behind a sister, Beverly June Feero of Cheyenne, Wyoming; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Corrine Gann; daughter, Lea Steelman; grandson, Ethan Steelman and granddaughters, Jazmine Steelman, Lillian Steelman and Adyline Gann, all of Bakersfield. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary.
