Lester was born to Wanda Crawford Hoover and Lester (Lee) Hoover Sr., in Bakersfield California. Lester is proceeded in death by his parents Wanda and Lee, and one sister Linda S. Hoover. Lester leaves behind his wife Cathy of 45 years and his daughter Tina M. Hoover, and son Lester Lee Hoover III, 1 granddaughter Diannia, 3 grandsons Bradley, Morgan, and John, and 4 great granddaughters. Lester lived almost his entire life in Arvin California where he was a truck driver for Don Tyson Trucking in the 1970's.
Lester retired to a small little farm outside of town, where he raised goats, sheep, hogs, and many other animals. He loved rebuilding old hot rods and classic cars and piddling and puttering around his little farm. Lester loved being outdoors, loved to explore old abandoned caves, mines, and whatever else he could find for him and his wife Cathy and their dog Maggie to explore. He loved to just get out and drive up into the mountains or the desert. Lester and Cathy moved up to Weldon California in 2015. He loved being there, and often said he wished he had moved up there sooner. Lester loved the people he met there, who later would become good friends.
Lester loved his family, and friends. He will be truly missed. Memories of Lester will live on if we hold on to them. Our family wants to leave you with words of one of the last conversations with Lester I had: "Get out and enjoy life! Don't wait until you're too old to do it! Do it now!" The family wishes to Thank you all for the many kind words and thoughtful prayers.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hillcrestmemorial.com for the Hoover family.
