Marie was born with her twin brother, J.B. Mullings, on June 8, 1929 in Brownsville, Texas.
Preceding her are her parents John B. and Ada Martha Mullings. Along with her brothers, Willard,
Alvin, Raymond, Clarence, Gilford, and J.B. Mullings.
She married Harry Hurley on November 26, 1948 in Bakersfield, California. Harry passed in 1989.
She is survived by her son, Gary, his wife, Karen, two grandchildren, Samuel Hurley and Sara Hurley-
Worthing as well as four great-grandchildren, Kathryn and Ella Thomas, and William and Benjamin Worthing.
A celebration of her life is planned for her at the Kern City Community building where she resided the
last 30 years.
A visitation for Marie will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, followed by a graveside service from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, where she will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
