Mildred Jean Mushrush (Midge) was born in Taft, CA to Palmer and Wilma (Speck) Stone and passed away at home in Bakersfield, CA, with her husband Roy by her side.Mildred was married at early age to Harold Russie and had 4 boys, Harold Jr., Guy, Robert and Gregory. She has 2 sisters, Carol DeBartolo and husband Vito in Yuba City, CA and Kathy Hickman in Baker, City, OR. She also has many nieces, nephews, great and great-great grandkids. She claimed the step-kids and their offspring as hers too.Mildred was precede in death by her parents, two sons Robert and Guy and stepson James. In the 1970's, her marriage to Harold Russie was terminated and son Gregory was a teenager roaming the streets of Oildale. He knew Roy Mushrush and that he was a widower. He approached Roy and told him he would like for him to meet his beautiful mother. Roy agreed to the meeting and soon Roy and Midge became husband and wife. Roy had 2 boys and 2 girls, all married, Joyce James, Michael and Linda. Now Mildred had 4 sons and 4 stepchildren. She loved them all.About 6 years after the marriage, Roy retired. They bought a motorhome, a pick up to tow it and a boat to carry on top of the pickup. They traveled the county fishing, just camping and sometimes they would visit relatives. Give Midge a fishing pole near a body of water and it was like she was already in Heaven. They had a wonderful almost 4o years together. Now she is probably up there where all fisher people go, jerking on the pole saying, "Uh, uh, uh it's a big one this time!"She had a personality that would thaw anyone's heart and will be missed by many. -
