Orsolina was born and raised in Visalia, California by her parents Frank and Mary Masi, who emigrated to the United States from Italy.
Orsolina married the love of her life, Roy Hargis, on February 14, 1948 in Bakersfield, California. They were Valentine's Day Sweethearts for 67 years. During those 67 years, she stuffed Roy with her special "spaghetti and meatballs" thus making him a part of her Italian heritage.
Orsolina's love of sewing, gardening, swimming and attending her "hummingbird buddies" always brought a smile to her face. An unknown talent, discovered in Orsolina's later years, was a passion for pencil drawings, of which she produced many beautiful wild life art works. Orsolina was always there to teach, comfort and care for her namesake, Alina, her great-granddaughter.
Orsolina was a Secretary for Orangewood Elementary School for 24 years and long time member of Wesley Methodist Church.
Orsolina is survived by her husband Roy,daughter Suzanne Jacobs (Shawn), grandson Josh Rhoden (Jodi), great-grandchildren Alina and Rod Rhoden and special nephew Ben Hargis (Bonnie), and many other special nephews and nieces.
The family extends a special thank you to Stephanie and Maria of Peace of Mind Health Care and Pro Care Hospice.
