She was a devoted stay-at-home mother, cherishing her time with her children and grandchildren. Rafaela was a strong-willed woman with a wonderful sense of humor that could always bring a smile, even through her years of battling dementia. Her laughter and spirit remained with her until the end.
A devoted matriarch, she was the heart of our family. She lovingly raised 10 children and was the proud grandmother of over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her unwavering love and strength touched everyone she knew.
Rafaela was married for over 70 years to her soulmate, Domingo, our beloved father, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, and six grandchildren.
The world has lost a beloved mother, our Queen. We will forever cherish the lessons she taught us and strive to be as strong as she was. Her memories will forever live in our hearts.
Mama, please rest peacefully now. We love you forever.
