Randall, 82, went to rest on January 21st in Bakersfield, surrounded by his family. Randall was the beloved husband of Betty Jo Clagg, who preceded him in death as well as their oldest son Rick Clagg.
Born in Lindsay, Oklahoma in 1934 to Joe and Edith Clagg, Randall grew up with five brothers and two sisters. He was married to his Betty Jo September 5, 1954, and together they shared 52 years of life and love. Randall had six children: George, Rick, Dena, Randall Jr., Macie, and Darin.
He is survived by five of his children and their spouses: George and Jeri Venezuela of Olympia, WA; Jack and Dena Burkhart of Tehachapi, CA; Randall Jr. and Channon Clagg of Templeton, CA; Jack and Macie Chamberlain of Tehachapi CA; and Darin and Yvonne Clagg of Pine Bush, NY. He is also survived by eighteen grandkids, twenty-seven great-grandkids, his two brothers Reford and Richard Clagg, and his sister Lavita White.
Randall was known for his love for those in need. Both he and his wife had an open-door policy. Many shared the sentiment that "Randall and Betty Jo took me in." They showed love for strangers and their family, both in the flesh and in the faith.
Randall's greatest accomplishment, as he himself would tell you, was being baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on August 7, 2016, at 82 years of age. Closely following this in his list of accomplishments would have been the beaming pride of his adoring wife Betty Jo, and the family they built together.
Please come celebrate his life with us on January 29, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fox Theatre in Bakersfield, California. Reception to follow.
