

Steve, 41, was born in Bakrsfield, CA to Rosemary Ramos and Steven Marmolejo. He was raised in Bakersfield, CA where he received his A.S. in Heating and Air Conditioning. He was in the process of completing his B.A. in Organizational Management. He also had many certifications. Steve worked for many years as a welder. In 2006 he accomplished his dream and was given an opportunity to work as a Safety Coordinator in the oilfield industry. Steve had a passion for safety. Steve was loved by his family and friends for his great sense of humor and hilarious personality. No matter the situation he always had something to say to lighten the mood. He loved life and always walked around with a smile. He had a passion for God and always liked preaching to others. He was always into his music and he was always known for his unique sense of style. He enjoyed cooking big meals for his family. Steve always said he loved his kids and lived for them. Steve is survived by his wife, Claudia Marmolejo; his parents, Rosemary Ramos and Steven Marmolejo; his son, Steve Anthony Marmolejo; daughters, Amariah Ilysse Marmolejo and Analia Brielle Marmolejo; his brothers, Brian Ramos, Gabriel De la Rosa, and Eric Marmolejo. sisters, Susie Marmolejo, Jenny Villase?r, Rose Ramos and Virginia Marmolejo; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Steve will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten. The pain of losing him will always be in our hearts, but we are comforted knowing he is in a better place. Viewing is Sunday, January 9, from 4-8 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary, with a Graveside service on Monday, Jan. 10, at 1:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
