Steven Lee March

Steve, 74, of Bakersfield, CA, was born in El Paso, TX and passed in his sleep after a battle with Dementia. He came from a large blended family and was raised by William March, his father and stepmother Amelia “Millie” March. Steve is succeeded in death by his siblings: Glen March, Kenneth D. March, Ronald W. March, Linda M. March, Doris M. March, Corrine Williams, Linda L. DeReyes, Della J. Dillon, and Richard P. Campbell. Children: Angela March, Stephanie Goss, Michael March, Robert Martin and 8 grandchildren. Steven enlisted with the Marines shortly after high school and was medically discharged so he moved to Bakersfield, CA where he met his forever love, Onita Olen Martin. They married on April 6th, 1970 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Oildale, CA. Steven devoted his life to his family and was always a strong provider as a fabricator/welder with McCarty’s Tank & Steel, Bakersfield Pipe & Supply and Golden State Drilling. Steve lost his wife Onita, May 25th, 2023 to Cancer. It is with great comfort to know he is now joined with her once again with our Lord Jesus Christ as we all will see them again.

Steven Lee March, age 74, of Bakersfield, California passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

A visitation for Steven will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
