

Thornton "Frank" Gandola February 16, 1930 - April 19, 2012 Frank was born February 16, 1930 to Frank & Josephine Gandola. He passed away April 19, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was raised on his parents dairy farm with his two brothers, Raymond & John. He also was a radar technician in the Naval Reserves. Frank married Marilyn on October 29, 1950. And their journey began. In 1955 They came to Bakersfield to start their own dairy business that became very successful. One month later he came down with Bulbar Polio. He was in White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, Ca. for three months. The same hospital that he was born in twenty five years earlier. He worked very hard and long hours on the dairy. He retired in 1979 from the dairy business. They traveled and kept busy taking care of their rental properties. He was always taking the Grandkids to look at and buy animals and always looking for that deal on the hay. He is preceded in death by his sons Frankie & Michael and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn. Daughter Mary Gandola-Kinnett & husband James of Bakersfield, Ca. Grandchildren Danielle Poff of Bakersfield, Ca. Joshua Adams & wife Jordan of Plant City, Florida. Brooke Ryan & husband Brandon of Caliente, Ca. Michael & Brittany Gandola of Templeton, Ca. Great-grandchildren Kyler Brown, Lacie Poff of Bakersfield, Ca. Brothers John Gandola of Bakersfield, Ca. Raymond Gandola of Buena Park, Ca. Frank also leaves behind a host of loving family members and a bunch of great friends and neighbors. Pallbearers will be Jason Gandola, Joshua Adams, John Price, James Kinnett, John Grealish, Paul Fitch A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11:00 am on Tuesday April 24, 201
