Despite his limited mobility, Ty was an adventurous little man. Disneyland was one of his favorite places to go and you would often find him flirting with a princess or defeating bad guys in Star Wars Land. Ty spent several birthdays and Halloweens celebrating with Mickey and the gang. In his short 13 years, Ty enjoyed many fun activities in life thanks to his parents ensuring he lived to his fullest.
Ty played baseball and basketball for League of Dreams for a short time and was loved by his teammates and volunteers. His favorite professional baseball team was the Anaheim Angels. His Dad and Mom took him to see several of their MLB games where he frequently lost his voice from cheering on his team. Soon he moved onto other adventures such as ice skating in his wheelchair where people fought over who was going to push him around the rink next, camping at the beach or riding the waves at Project Surf Camp in Morro Bay thanks to John, his wife and their amazing staff and volunteers. His dad plays paintball at Wolverine’s where Ty was an honorary member. On several occasions the guys suited up, stood nearby, and allowed Ty to pelt them with paintballs while he sat in his wheelchair laughing hysterically. Ty attended several Monster Truck shows where he was invited to meet and take pictures with his favorite drivers. You could often find Ty watching football or ice hockey where his motto was, the rougher the better. He enjoyed playing with his cousins and spending time with his large extended family. His favorite holiday was Halloween where he could dress up and scare people along with his parents, cousins and family in their haunted house.
Ty attended Sequoia Middle School/Blair where he had several friends and was loved by his teacher Miss Jackson and her aids.
