Tyson was a son, grandson; father brother, cousin, nephew and friend. He was also a comedian. From the time he was born, he had the uncanny capability to make people laugh. He had a smile that could melt your heart in seconds. I remember before he could talk, we'd go out to eat and when the waitresses would take our order, he'd bat his eyelashes at them. And they would melt like butter! He loved the attention he got from it!
He was an extreme child from the beginning to the end, an untamable energy with his own strong point of view, always a leader with great talent and the gift of gab for every age group. Many times, throughout his childhood, adults would comment on how well he would carry a conversation, as if he were older than he really was.
Many people did not know, Tyson was an altar boy when he was young until he was into his teens. He loved to help serve God at Saturday evening Mass with Father Derrick, at St. Rose Catholic Church, in Paso Robles, CA. He absolutely love it; he served with honor and pride. It helped that he loved being on stage too; he loved being in the front and center. The meaning of Tyson's name is " Warrior of God", and he was my little fighter!
Tyson loved music, he learned guitar at a young age and developed the talent to listen to a song on the radio and then learn to play it on his guitar, most of the time it was without sheet music, he'd hear it and just start playing the cords on his guitar. Music was his passion from an early age and that remained with him.
He was smart as a whip, in High School; several teachers would tell me how smart Tyson was. His English teacher, sophomore year told me during a parent teacher conference, (yes, we had those in high school for Tyson, from time to time) She told me he would pick novels to read for credit that had multiple characters and story lines that even she couldn't follow. And usually shortly after the "parent teacher conference" I'd get a phone call from the Dean of Students, informing me he had detention for something defiant that he had done at school. But that was Ty, extreme, never in the middle, always running, and never walking.
Tyson's children are the core to his soul; he struggled with losing his boys and tried to find a balance between them and his surviving daughter Aleah Michelle Maribell Young. Recently, he sought God for help with those struggles through council from Bethany's Ministries, and continued to take council from them shortly before he passed. That gives me great peace knowing he looked to God for help.
As we move forward in our lives without him, I know from teaching of faith that he is never truly gone from us. He will live on in all our memories of laughter. We had with him and he will live on through his daughter, Aleah. No words can describe how much he was loved and will be missed, but I know one thing is certain, I love you Son, and that is FOREVER.
Love, Mom
