Archie had a strong love of family, friends and country. He had great respect for our military. After retiring from the Army as a Master Sgt in 1966, he settled in Barstow and went to work at Santa Fe Railroad. He later worked at Ft. Irwin and then the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow where he retired from Civil Service in 1985 and married the Love of his life, Ida.
Archie was happiest camping with Ida by his side and being out-fished by her. Other hobbies included his passion for woodworking, which could only have been rivaled by his love for teaching it to others, as well as small appliance/refrigeration repair and all around creative problem solving inventions and adaptations when things just didn't work well.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bennie and Myrtle Bryan, brothers Hank, Frank and Benjamin, a sister Dorothy Lancaster, first wife Martha Jane, son Hank Edward, stepsons Terry and Rickie Jenson, stepdaughter Debbie Stringer, grandson Dennis Michael (Mikey) Riffel, great granddaughter Kaitlynn (Kaity) Lee and his wife Ida Bryan.
He is survived by his nephew Dean Lancaster and wife Barbara, nephew Mike Bryan and wife Linda, niece Pat Jensen and husband Philip, niece Sheila Deason and husband Steve, stepchildren Jimmy Jenson and wife Helen, Diane Moran, Gloria Holland and husband Mike, Connie Jenson, Ronda Richardson and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
