Barbara Ann Carpenter

Barbara “Bobbie” Carpenter, 70, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 24, 2025, in Victorville, California. She was born on November 7, 1954, in Shreveport Louisiana to Felix Nation and Mary Ann Richardson. Bobbie embraced life with warmth, kindness, and a spirited sense of joy. Throughout her years, she was devoted to her family and found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved. Her nurturing heart was truly her greatest gift.

She was blessed to be the proud mother of Jerome Carpenter, and Angela Carpenter. She is lovingly remembered by Jerome and reunited with Angela, who preceded her in death. Barbara treasured every moment spent with her loved ones and found lasting joy in the simple pleasures-whether playing bingo, preparing delicious meals for family and friends, or relaxing with her devoted life partner, Allen “Bubba” Duffey. Her passion for life was evident in all that she did and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Barbara dedicated 4 decades to the supermarket industry, where she especially enjoyed her time working as a deli clerk. She took great pride in serving her customers and cherished the daily interactions that brought her immense joy.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Richardson; her father, Felix Nation; her brother, Samuel Nation; and her daughter, Angela “Angie” Carpenter. She is survived by her son Jerome Carpenter Jr. Daughter Jenisha G. Ex-Husband, Jerome Carpenter Sr. Grandchildren, Anthony Kendell Greyson, Jerome Kenyatta Jamar Carpenter, Deangelo Bennett, Quincy Sampson, and Christopher. Great-grandchildren; Niyah Leilani Carpenter, and Amina Jhene Carpenter. Her siblings, Raymond Richardson, Ronald “Pop” Richardson, Shirley SanNicolas, Mary Beavers, and Jacqueline Richardson. As well as her lifetime partner, Allen “Bubba” Duffey, and his children. She is also remembered by numerous loving family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched so deeply.

She has gone to her eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and devotion. Though she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who went before her.

A graveside service for Barbara Ann Carpenter will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Desert View, 11478 Amargosa Rd, Victorville, CA 92392.
