I send my deepest condolences to family.  Charlie was our lab guy here @ Harden Family Dentistry Salinas.  and he will be missed I will be praying for his family for the Lord to give them comfort through this difficult time.

Sorry to hear about your passing, Charlie. You, Ruby and your son visited us in our home for my sons' birthdays in the 90's and also may have seen you at Tito Romy's funeral in March.  Rest in Peace.

Out of all the people who mentored me, I have collaborated with, or worked with. I learned the most from him. He was a not only the best darn Dental Lab tech I have ever worked with, he was a magician. He made things work that shouldnt or couldnt.  His skills were only rivialed by his work ethic and compassion for all those he treated, something that isnt as common as it should be in our profession. In doing so, we became friends. I am blessed to have known him these last three years.  Charlie was rock that made SDC so great, not only his abilities but his personality. It is hard to grasp that I spoke/texted him just a few days ago, shared some pics From yellowstone. He told me how excited that he might go there next Summer with his family. One thing he always would tell me and Now I  take to heart was to slow down and enjoy the ride a little more. He said, "Hey doc, you have the rest of your life to do dentistry, make sure you spent time with your wife, go home early tonight."  Charlie, I will try harder on this next tour my friend.  I am very glad to have Charlie in my life the last few years, I will never forget him. My deepest condolences to the Kim family.

Charlie, your laugh was so infectious. I can still see you walking around the clinic with your lab glasses on your head. You will truly be missed!

I was so sad to hear of your passing. You left an imprint on so many lives through both your kindness and ability to connect and make friends with any and everyone. You had a way of making me and many others feel like they were family. We shared a lot of laughs and I will always cherish those memories. I hope your family finds strength and peace during this difficult time. Until we meet again my friend.

Charlie was quiet, yet a very wise person.  He was also a hard worker for my dental friends.  My prayers are for his 2 talented children and the rest of his family.

I've known Mr. Kim since I was 6 years old when I met Charlie Jr. in school.  Charlie and I became the best of friends and Mr. and Mrs. Kim opened their home to me like I was their own 

child.  I spent weekend after weekend at their house throughout the school years, and what seemed like entire weeks during the summers.  I always felt like Charlie and Charlene were more of a brother and sister to me, than friends, and as a result their father was like a second father to me and Mrs. Kim, a second mother.  

I'll never forget the way Mr. Kim would always slap me hard the back when I walked through the door of their home, "Chris!  How are you?!...Take off your shoes."  

Whenever he couldn't be found in the house with classical concert music playing in the background, he was in his shop in the garage, working away on giving someone a new beautiful smile.  

My brother needed an entire denture set due to needing all of his teeth pulled at a young age and Mr. Kim gave him a new, beautiful smile that he still has to this day.  My brother now carries his work with him everywhere he goes, and every time he smiles, the world sees it.  Mr. Kim's work has increaed the quality of life of my brother, and everyone he has done work for - including our military, for years and it will continue to do so for years to come.

When I became a teenager and was learning to drive he offered to sell me his Toyota Supra at a steal of a price.  Naturally, I was through the roof about this.  Although I wasn't allowed to purchase it (out of my parent's fear I'd kill myself with it), I've never forgotten his offer.

My last memories of Mr. Kim were from about 2 years ago when Charlie and Jim were in town and I went to visit with them and Mr. Kim.  We ate some of that amazing soup Mr. Kim would make, talked about life, careers, education, and he gave me advice to pass on to my girlfriend who was seeking out a degree program.  As I remember was usual for Mr. Kim, he put on some classical concert music and violin players on his TV and we all sat around and watched.  

What I remember most about Mr. Kim was that he was always willing to help someone, without hesitation.  He was a skilled worker, smart, and helpful.  If he knew you had a problem that needing solving, he was right there to offer useful, intelligent solutions and do what he could to help.  If you needed something, he would go out of his way to help get it done.  I believe Mr. Kim has passed these characteristics and habits on to his children, as I've seen them in Charlie Jr. and, although I haven't been around Charlene for years, I'm sure she has received them as well.

His passing is a shock to me and my heart is so heavy for Charlie, Charlene, and the rest of Mr. Kim's family and friends.  You all have my deepest sympathies and condolences.  

Charlie and I are barely in our 30's, Charlene in her 20's, and the thought of our parents passing away is nowhere in my mind and I'm guessing it wasn't in Charlie's or Charlene's, either.  

I wish I would have visited him more.

The world has lost a talented, friendly, and good man whose work, skills, and characteristics have left an impression on everyone he has interacted with.  I am thankful for the memories I have of him.

Rest in peace, Mr. Kim.  Rest In Peace.

Charlie definitely was an amazing person who always gave you good advice and many laughs.  Definitely a great friend that will be missed dearly. May you rest in peace Charlie heaven has gained another good one. Much love and my condolences to all family and friends.

Oh my Sweet Charlie!! I am so saddened to hear this news! You were the first one I met when I arrived at Ft Irwin Dental Clinic and you led me down the hall to 1SG!! Simply heartbreaking and we for sure lost a good guy!! May you forever make people laugh and pick on everyone!! You are a true jewel!

It is with great sadness to hear the loss of a great individual.  Charlie, you will truly be missed. He has touched so many lives through friendship and family that will never be forgotten.  My family and I will always be grateful for his sincere compassion he displayed during our tour in Fort Irwin.  Rest in Peace my Friend.

I am very saddened to hear abour your early passing, and also very happy to know you are on your way to paradise. Thank you for treating us like family while we were in Fort Irwin. Thank you for sharing how proud you are of your children. Thank you for having us in your place sharing laughs, and feeding us your special kimbap, bulgogi, and kalbi. I am sorry our time spent with great friends were limited. I am sorry I couldn't be the golfer you wanted me to be, even with all the hours you have spent teaching. We love you Charlie. It was a honor and a blessing to be your friend for the last 11 years.  Thank you for all the wonderful memories.  Vivian is too young to know right now but she has been asking about you almost everyday when I walked through the door.  "Is Charwie sleeping?"  She doesn't how to say it but you were her best friend and she, my whole family will miss you greatly. Rest In Peace my friend.

The world has lost another great person. Read the news  this morning. I am lost for words. My family will be devastated to hear the sad news when they come home from work this afternoon. It was a great privilege to have served with you for a few memorable years. Thanks for the laughter, the times spent with our team and the genuine care you have not only for your teammates but to their family as well. It was with teammates like you that made my tour in Fort Irwin the BEST in my Army career. You will be missed. May our Lord grant you eternal rest and until we meet again, save a spot for us in our Lord's sacred table.
