David served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army before retiring as a Sergeant First Class. He served several tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal: Vietnam Service Medal (4 campaigns); Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; 2 O/S Bars; Combat Infantry Badge and the Good Conduct Medal 6th Award.
David is survived by his wife of 15 years, Helen Holtslander; his son Richard Holtslander and many friends.
A graveside service for David will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California 94102.
