Dexter “Dex” Stewart, 50, of Barstow, California, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love and strength of his loved ones. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Joyce Stewart and David Lawrence on November 03, 1972. He grew up in Louisiana with his sisters, Cantina West and Eva Tate, until their relocation to California. Dexter was a beloved son, father, and friend, he touched the minds and hearts of everyone who knew him. He brought joy to the world and those around him through acts of kindness, advice through heart and Christ, and the energy he gave to those he impacted.

He is survived his mother, his seven children, his grandchildren, his sisters, and countless family and friends.
