Dorothy Sylvia Hays

Dorothy (Dottie) Hays, 81 years old of Barstow California passed away on December 14th, 2024 surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Dottie Was born October 15th, 1943 in Barstow California to Marvin and Sarah Lake.

Dorothy (Dottie) Hays is survived by her daughter Debbie Yeaman, her sister Carol Travers, two brothers, Dutch (Sandy) Lake and Larry (Louise) Lake, 6 grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Jay Yeaman, Michelle (Rourke) Haggard, Darnell R. Rourke, David Rourke, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great - great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Hays of Barstow, CA and two sons, Darrell J. Rourke and Vincent Rourke both of Barsto, California.

Dottie worked as a waitress for many years at Denny's Restaurant in Barstow and was known for her excellent waitnessing skills and kindness, she then trained other waitress for an opening of a new Denny's restaurant at the Outlets of Barstow.

Dottie loved and adored her family, her children and her grandchildren, she was always so proud to be the grandmother to her 5 grandsons and her only granddaughter and was so proud to have 14 great grandchildren and 1 great - great granddaughter, and always giving her family unconditional love and support. She will be deeply missed.
