

Gloria Jean Cook was born on February, 24 1934 and was called home to heaven on March 30, 2023. She served our country in the US Army and then continued to serve our country for over 30 years as a Federal Civilian Employee.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary, husband George, and son George. She is survived by her son Gordon (Betty), daughter in law Debra, Grandchildren George (Ramona), Erin (Troy), Ashlee (Chris), Ricky (Dorothy), Carrie, and 13 great grandchildren.
Gloria was an active member of the Senior Center where she loved to play bingo, cards and attend all the social functions. Gloria spent many years helping raise money for charitable foundations including St. Jude’s Children's Hospital by working telethons. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to travel and over many years went on numerous trips including going to Japan, several cruises and taking bus trips with the seniors.
Gloria will always be remembered for being a strong-willed, Dr Pepper drinking, Sees Candy lollipop eating independent woman with a feisty presence. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Graveside services are pending. An honorary bingo game is also being planned.
